@ifixcoinops a printer should be like a toaster: you buy one from whoever for like $20, it just works, you don't ever have to worry about it
but instead it's some ridiculous mess of buggy proprietary software, an even buggier bluetooth mode that no one ever uses but which still manages to somehow make the printer stop working every tuesday unless it's a leap year, and DRM to lock you into using their printer cartridges full of ink that costs more per weight than literal gold

@Hearth I see you haven't met Sage/Breville smart toasters for like $200.
I think the answer is somewhere in the middle, $20 toasters kind of work but they're only like 80% in terms of result uniformity.
It's kind like my Brother HL-2130 printer, if I try to print grey text it comes out unreadable, but it works fine for solid black text.
