@steadilyebbing @ifixcoinops there was a very deliberate decision - which printer manufacturers bragged about in the business press - to pivot to inkjets, which are intentionally unreliable and require cartridges that don't last very long @steadilyebbing @ifixcoinops here we are 20 years later and even laser printers are doing that shit now @irenes @ifixcoinops yeah 3000 page integrated toner drum and fuser units instead of seperate serviceable bits and enough toner to last a decade and a half of casual printing |
@irenes @ifixcoinops I've an FX from c2008 and it's got wifi and that's as advanced as a printer ever had to get imo.
