Gregory's ServerI know shipping is a lot. I wanted them to offer free shipping at our cost, but we landed with the 20% discount idea instead. I know psychologically it's not the same though. May even be worse.

   @Gargron I appreciate the transparency about shipping costs (knew and understood it would be steep beforehand), there were no surprises or false pretenses. Shipping is what it is. Super excited to get a mug this time around (things sold out last time before I could order) so thank you for adding more merch! Canβt wait to receive it! @Gargron "May even be worse" It's definitely worse in the sense of affecting the ration of item price to shipping price. That was already prohibitive here in Aotearoa. It's why I opted for a low-tier Patreon instead, because around 75% of what I would have paid would not got to Mastodon at all. Authorised reseller(s) based in distribution centres might make merch more feasible for those of us under financial constraints |
