The government only invented autism 3 years ago!   @diffractie I'm surprised this isn't a requirement for my dev position working on train software @diffractie@glitterkitten.co.uk as someone with over a quarter century of Autism experience, where can i apply?  @diffractie yeah, that makes sense, but also, what a weird way to ask for people with experience in dealing with people with autism  Interviewer: So, do you have experience with autism? Me, confidently resting my feet on the desk: Hah! I've been dealing with autism since I was born!  @diffractie step back. Bout to ace this interview (and still get turned down for reasons unknown to me) @diffractie amazing! I assume they mean β5 years experience of working with autistic peopleβ but yeah, out of context that is hilarious! I would not get it, I am vastly overqualified.     It really is. On a side note, I wonder if they are counting from diagnosis or if they are actually looking for people that are at least 6 years old.  @diffractie "Well, I don't have an official diagnosis, but I have many of the symptoms...."  |
