Would you be interested in a raw machined aluminum chassis?

@frameworkcomputer Would depend on the price point, but fuck yeah...

@frameworkcomputer It's not for me, but I'm sure there would be fans of that. I worry too much about fingerprints, scratches and dings.

nb: I almost always have a hard cover case on my MBPs. The only laptop-like devices that don't have hard cover caseds on them were acquired used and pre-dented, or don't have decent alternatives (Surface Pro 3).

No. There are certain textures that just creep me out, and brushed metal (or similar) is one of them. I want my devices to be perfectly smooth.

@frameworkcomputer Whats the difference? Price/Look/EnvironmentImpact/...?

@frameworkcomputer that will easily hold hundreds of scratches without anybody noticing or caring. Nice idea.

@Anachron @frameworkcomputer An old-ish laptop of mine had that finish too, and it didn't make scratches harder to notice, it made them more OCD-inducing.

@frameworkcomputer if it didn’t affect the modular design then, yes!

@frameworkcomputer The picture is too zoomed in to be fully certain, but I think that would be gorgeous, and would probably hide small scratches. I'm super down!

@frameworkcomputer If you haven't already, brushed aluminum sounds kinda nice.
