Hi, I'm Dr. Q, I'm a Fediverse person from Russia. I do Fediverse stuff. In Russia.

I own mastodon.ml - the largest (probably?) Mastodon instance in ex-USSR.

I maintain @rf - a Fediverse group bot that helps people anyone who speaks Russian, to connect to a wider RU-Fediverse community, with ~1600 members.

I run XXIV Production (https://xxivproduction.video) - a consolidation of RU-Fediverse's video creators and live streamers.

I coordinate and appear on on a bi-weekly podcast called "Regular Expressions" (by XXIV Production) to comment on the Fediverse issues and events, along with other RU-Fediverse creators.

I organize live events and meetings for the Fediversians around the Moscow area. I claim that the Fediverse is a tool for forging real friendships and relationships.

I speak Fedi at live events.

In fact, I'd rather have 1000 one-dollar supporters than one 1000-dollar "whale".

@rf In other things, I sometimes stream games, and DIY stuff for fun and for friends (although now all my 3D printers are broken, which sucks and I need to do expensive repairs :c), sometimes I write essays and reviews, etc. etc., regular blogger stuff.

I joined RU-Fediverse in autumn 2021 and I could not imagine that I will met with so many cool people in such short period of time.

We had meetings in Moscow and Saint-Petersburg, we make streams on PeerTube and talk with each other, we had a big New Year party in Moscow, and we are planning to make a Xonotic tournament this month (not irl but whatever)!

I knew about fediverse a long time ago, but I thought that it's all aboard. I thought that fediverse and other cool and geeky stuff is not popular in post-USSR, but @drq proved me wrong!

I am very glad that I joined fediverse one day. I am very glad that I met you all. You guys changed my life in a good way! You are awesome! :ablobcatheart:

@nopefish Тот мессадж как раз был ориентирован на не рашн донтаерс, потому рашн донатерс - как правило нищий донатерс.

В этом вообще гигантская проблема сервисов, которые существуют на донаты: где-то там кто-то летает (за по факту наши бабки) в космос на исполинском члене, пока мы, голодранцы, просим у себя же поддержать свои проекты.
