 Today marks one year since I walked away from 360,000 followers on that other site and joined this incredible community here! That was easily one of the most positive moves I've ever made, and I frankly haven't looked back. Thank you to @jerry and everyone else who keeps this place humming. This month marks one year for probably half the people active on the fediverse, so probably a lot more to come. One thing that is frustrating is that when it was Twitter, filtering was a lot easier, but many posts still include the word - so my best advice is to set up some filters. They work quite well. @jerry @mnb @briankrebs With 0 people youβre following youβll get a skewed view of Mastodon too. Itβs shaped much more than Twexxer by your follows. Twitter is algorithmically customized but a lot of people see nearly the same thing. Mastodon is personally curated and experiences are highly heterogeneous.  @glennf @jerry @mnb @briankrebs itβs also a time of retrospection given its roughly a year since Elon showed up over there.l and drove users away. @briankrebs Iβm glad youβre here, and I know many others are too. |
