A lot of the time that drivers nearly run me over it's because they want to make a turn but there's another car coming and they don't want to wait, so they speed up and *then* notice there's a pedestrian in the crosswalk. Obviously they would rather hit me, the pedestrian, than get him themselves by another car.

I can't imagine how scary it must be from their perspective. @corbin_lambeth @Cassandra i had a guy on easter road in edinburgh speed up at the crossing and come straight at me deliberately - its utterly terrifying.  @elizabethveldon @corbin_lambeth I have also encountered drivers who think it is sport to scare the shit out of pedestrians. 😡 @Cassandra @elizabethveldon |
