@bicycletting @mbonsma the fact that they have no choice seems like an even better reason to not require hearing to be safe as a pedestrian!

@bicycletting @mbonsma Disability is also a major risk factor in pedestrian injuries and deaths, it's really important that we not just assume that people will make do and design our transportation system to be safe for everyone

@sanae @bicycletting @mbonsma too often I encounter traffic lights that are too fast for people with disabilities, resulting in dangerous situations where a lane of cars might start moving even when there is someone on the road.

@ojrask @sanae @mbonsma I'm a perfectly able person and walk reasonably fast... and I often don't have enough time to cross... so yeah: infrastructure must be the focus of attention.
