Thanks @jeffowski ... Here'are more best practices around service dogs ... https://www.guidedogsofamerica.org/best-practices-when-around-a-service-dog/ I don't know that I will ever need this knowledge but it will be very helpful if I ever do. "Cue the dog to help you locate their owner by asking “what?” or “where?” or simply begin following the dog." https://www.westparkanimalhospital.com/blog/if-a-service-dog-approaches/ @jeffowski @jeffowski What the hell did they think? A vested service animal is just out for a walk alone?!? Hasn't he heard at least 1 "Whats that Boy? Timmy's down the well" jokes before? @jeffowski Or any dog! Does nobody watch Lassie any more? Kids these days... always falling down wells. @jeffowski Service dogs don’t leave their fallen or unconscious persons. They may bark to get people‘s attention. @jeffowski to be honest, "follow the dog" is pretty good advice even if the doggo is not obviously a service dog. I mean, if a dog wants to show you something, it's either because they think it important (human in distress, etc) , or because they want to be your friend. Either way is a win for you! @jeffowski I had a colleague with a service dog. Spencer (the dog) would come over to my desk to investigate the cheese rolls in my bag. He was technically off-duty at the time though @jeffowski |

"Together my friend.
That's how humanity will win."
