@jt_rebelo @Voline @joaopinheiro Thank you for taking the time and effort to write out this alt text. I look forward to it being added to the original post so I can boost it. @aral you're welcome, alt text is of the utmost importance, and furthermore when the tecnology allows for it, so I'm here to help regarding A11Y. @Voline After what happened in Israel. What is the country going to do? Not respond. Take the second most deadly attack on Jews since WWII on the chin? Come on! Hamas need to go and be held accountable. That said, the idf is known to try and evacuate buildings and inform people they are being used as human shields. So many Palestinians have fallen for the extremist propaganda that they want their families to die. Fixing Gaza and removing the extremism of Hamas? It’s a Herculean task. @HeroOfDermwood @switzere @Voline It's an ugly situation on all sides. A true clusterfuck Israeli intellgence services will phone people giving them a warning. Hamas uses people as human shields. There’s not much if the civilians are Hamas supporters with a suicide wish. Bombing and marching into Gaza is militarily dumb. But to argue they don’t care about Palestinians? I’d say they care more than their own Hamas government. @switzere a dozen/hundred/thousand phone calls does not, strangely, forgive IDF for the destruction of civilian infrastructure. @pacanukeha “why do gazans feel inclined to vote for an org that wants to fight back” Why do they support a government that would rather build rockets than water. That would rather massacre their own families instead of building power generation. Hamas has been a shitty fascist government in Gaza and it still has widespread support. Hamas wants to kill every Jew in Israel. I do not understand why so many who are critical of Israelis policies give a fascist nazi government a pass. @pch and do all Gazans need to pay with them? The IDF has warned 1.1 million people with nowhere to go to evacuate. @Voline using an antijudaist trope from Christianity that misunderstood the rule due to missing context. Awful. Really, as a cartoonist did they not think for a few minutes or are they just letting a subconscious need to stick it to the Jews run freely? Two bad choices. The trope is the „an eye for an eye“ which was historically meant as a maximum limit, not a minimum limit. A progressive rule to avoid endless blood feuds. Which other people still had in the 20th century. @Voline it is really remarkable that while the left has learned so much about racism in the last few decades, it is absolutely clueless about antijudaism and antisemitism (with the exception of the Antideutsche, they have really worked on the topic). You are all running around using the most awful tropes, equivalent in easyness to avoid to blackface, N-word and jokes about Chechen and watermelon. I mean „the bloodthirsty Jew“? How can you share that and not recognise it? |
@Voline Edtied: suggested alt text added by post author. Thank you!
