@marcan do you have dynamic DNS or some such that exposed your home IP to make it easy for them to discover it? Otherwise, this smells like an abuse of access to PII (in this case, log data that could associate you with your IP.).
@mikemol My IPv6 is pseudo-static and my IPv4 is CGNAT (DS-Lite), but also effectively assigned a pseudo-static (non unique) outbound IP for each customer. They could easily catch my IP from account logs (my account is locked out but still logged in on my main browser, so they get pings from that every time I forget to open HN in an incognito window).
So not only did they ban me, they banned a chunk of users from my ISP along the way 🤦♂️
