In my heart I knew that bandcamp was a beautiful anomaly and the model wouldn't be allowed to survive. Epic relies too much on public good will to be held responsible for killing this beloved platform, but songtradr won't think twice about it

It actually wouldn't surprise me if they just completely killed the platform without even trying to adapt it to become profitable. They might see it as a long-term positive ROI to just impoverish artists and make them more reliant on the other distribution methods firmly under capitalist control
