I think typing something like your username or account's URL would be a good way to confirm deletion, rather than a checkbox. It is a very purposeful action that would avoid even a slight chance for accidental deletion.

Maybe bold some short text that makes it abundantly clear that everything will be gone? There's a lot of writing here that people may not want to read (as people are).

As others have said, having an option to archive data from this page would be good, and maybe make the "temporarily disable account" thing more prominent, like a separate button at the bottom next to the delete button?
