@gnaddrig yes, I use it as a photo gallery and I do actually use the cloud service too (it's a pixel, it came with free photo storage)

@grishka Ok, then the popup makes some sense at least. But I would resent the "You are missing out", why not simply state that there is an update and link to a concise What's New...

@gnaddrig every time I update it, nothing changes. Nothing at all. It's always "bug fixes and improvements" to an app that hasn't had any meaningful new functionality for YEARS.

You're supposed to eventually run out of bugs if you don't add new features. I don't understand modern software development.

Gregory, most probably they are fixing vulnerabilities, but that's not an excuse to show these annoying update notifications inside the app itself, they have play store for it.

VK does that too now, BTW.
