Gregory's ServerI love going down my timeline and reviewing the posts that I have boosted and seeing how well they do. I really enjoy people having success on here. Such good stuff and so much of it. I give things a second look which I rarely did at the last place. While some corners do need building up content wise, nothing comes close to the fediverse for quality.

@seachanger It is definitely a slower moving beast, but it rolls ever forward picking up more amazing people everyday, while other platforms seem to be losing momentum on the quality track.

I agree! On the other site, I boosted those big accounts that everyone else seemed to be boosting. Now I realized how limiting the content was. It was very canned and contrived.

Agreed. I occasionally peer into the corner of the Twitterverse in which I once lived, with Nitter. What I see is the same larger accounts getting much lower engagement than they once did, and sharing that engagement…with the same 25 active users. It’s just outrage on a hamster wheel, but when you’re there, you feel like you’re connected to the lifeblood of the universe. Eventually more people will break free, as they realize there are better places to be… |
@noondlyt i love this too. as someone who follows tons of accounts, i just see so many interesting things! i'm also starting to see more hashtags be actually useful (like with WGAstrike) and those help me find info to boost too
