Phone cameras have been good enough for like 5 years now. CPUs even longer. At this point just give me a 4" modern-ish Android phone and I'll buy 10 of them to last me for the next 50 years.
The worrying trend about phone cameras though is that the post-processing sometimes involves object recognition these days (Apple is especially guilty of this). That's a huge no-no for me. That borders on "analyze what the user is trying to take a picture of, then use AI synthesize what that picture would've looked like if it was taken with a high-end DSLR".
