@Gargron Yeah, I have an iPhone 12 Pro and Watch Series 4 (upgraded from the original 0) and nothing today is enticing me and I love gadgets... @Gargron I have to say that USB-C is pretty great when shooting RAW video. But I agree my iPhone 13 will still do. @Gargron I went from an iPhone XS Max down to an iPhone 8 after the XS Max got crushed by a rollercoaster this summer. I can’t wait for an iPhone 15 Pro @Gargron Thanks! I’m happy with the 12, too. I lost my enthusiasm for these events over the years. What’s the scoop on ports? Lightning still, or USB-C? @Gargron but but.. Gaming! And.. photo's.. And uh.. AI!.. uh.. Yea just keep using your iPhone 12 ;) @Gargron Same here, I keep it as long it‘s receiving updates. iphones may be expensive, but you can use them for 6 years. My next one will be the 17 or 18. @Gargron I jumped to a 14 Pro earlier this year figuring that it was going to last me years where a non Pro model might not. Also my carrier offering 'stupid money' trade value for my old SE2 (3x what I originally paid). @Gargron The *only* thing bothering me about the 12 generation is battery life. But mine will have to do for a couple more years in any case @Gargron The camera on the Pro Max is tempting me this time. Apart from that, yes, these things last for years nowadays. @Gargron I’m in the exact same position and really can’t convince myself it makes any sense to upgrade, even with what would be an almost free upgrade after trade in. Higher zoom levels on the camera would be nice and so would only carrying one cable, but I’m not paying up for that. I guess it’s on to year three with this phone now. @Gargron Got a standard iPhone 12 and dont plan on upgrading until another 2 years or so. No need to get new phones every year, this baby still has another hundred thousound miles on it. @Gargron I actually want my 6S+ back, I miss the headphone jack. I actually listen to less music now because of this. Hell, I even cancelled all my music streaming subscriptions last year. @Gargron man maybe the pro was way better than the regular 12 that year? I have a regular 12 and this is the first phone I can’t wait to get rid of. It literally kills my VPN client in the background when I was trying to work. It’s almost useless now for any multitasking. Figured it was newer iOS’ being mem hogs. Wrong. I had a 12 pro. Upgraded to a 14 pro. Huge change in camera quality. Faster generally. More space. Just better. @Gargron I have an iPhone 12 and I couldn't agree more. The new stuff does not look like it is worth the cost. |
@Gargron good! Then don’t. You’ll be greener than you could ever be than if you bought the new models.
