 @gamingonlinux ublock origin on my desktop now reports it just crossed having blocked over 6 MILLION ads on my desktop since last year. I rarely see what the internet looks like without plugins/adblockers anymore because every tiny glimpse I've had reminds me of just how terrible it is. (I also override CSS to make every site use colors I choose) 2 comments
@glassbottommeg @gamingonlinux Always forget too just how bad stuff like youtube is now as well, and I can't even WATCH twitch anymore, haven't in like a year or two because of how insane they went with ads and they inject them to the video stream so you can't really filter. I don't mind doing patreon or the like to support creators but i'm not spending half of my leisure time watching ads that CONSTANTLY interrupt the flow of whatever I'm reading/watching, effectively ruining the mood of it. |

@raptor85 @gamingonlinux I recently reinstalled Firefox on my phone, and even just running without "block all audio AND video from auto playing" was kinda making me motion sick trying to read an article.
The internet without adblockers is like trying to read the news underneath a swimmy oil slick, it's awful.
