@koyu You mean on Android with the DDG App?
If this is true, then why are you still using stock Android and not /e/ or iodé or graphene or ios?

@socialcrisp yes, on Android with the DDG app. Also here's things about the operating systems you mentioned:

/e/: Banking apps
iodé: Banking apps
Graphene: Pixel exclusive and they're expensive
iOS: Apple is just as bad as Google

Here you go.

@koyu

Thanks for the clarification.

I know that you have to sacrifice convenience for more freedom.

Some banks have https solutions and not just their own apps, maybe this should be considered when switching to one of these.

And of course! Apple is bad, but you probably know it already, they don't block the DDG app 😺
because they make the most money with locking you in their system.

@socialcrisp well, my bank needs 2FA through a proprietary app that heavily relies on SafetyNet or if you're on iOS whatever protections against jailbreaking Apple has in place

@koyu Understandable.

But as I said, maybe some better bank exists out there, which relies on general TOTP or similar stuff like hardware keys.
