TIL – I hope I got this right:
* "Reimplemented" means something has been rewritten from scratch to be similar to the original
* "Ported" means the original source code has been adapted to make it work in a different environment
* "Emulated" means that a layer has been created that enables other software to work as if the underlying system was the one it was written for
