I haven't used the Windows version Audacity for many years, because I'm only Android (and Chromebook) THX, now I can use this website to edit audio files. was it Audacity that has the kicker, whips the llamas ass... oh, that was Winamp @mpesce@arvr.social everything is in a browser now... So it can take few times more ram than native app @mpesce that's insanity! :) I love it! :) Also the fact that I can Paulstretch things on my phone has the potential to make me a menace to people with ears! 😂 @mpesce Released a year ago (https://news.ycombinator.com/threads?id=ahilss), but it's still cool. @denkbeteiligung @mpesce @jaddy Warum nicht? Jetzt muss mann est nicht installerien. @mpesce OMG! This is huge for me!! Without going into too much detail, I use audacity almost every day to make recordings for clients and export as wav for post processing by ai to remove background noise. My main Linux machine doesn’t sound great, so I usually put off recordings until I’m at my windows machine. Now I can just quickly make them on the phone. @mpesce As someone who still uses Audacity everyday, I would love for someone to explain what this means to me, like I’m in 7th grade (and on my way to a journalism degree). @rlpaulprodn It means you can use it wherever you have a web browser - you don't need to have the app. So pull up to ANY computer and start working. Which is pretty cool. @mpesce Do I start with what you have on the screen in your original post? As a reminder: I’ve been an Audacity user for 20 years. @mpesce I just used it for the first time last month, and it was perfect! @mpesce @mpesce + tenacity considers to merge the port into their project  @mpesce (yes, tenacity - because audacity has their shitty telemtry and the project keeps advancing) @mpesce And then there's https://bellard.org/jslinux/ 🤯 |
@mpesce Gosh I used Audacity so much back in the day. Such a straightforward, easy-to-use audio editor.
