@woodpunk I'm pretty sure those are both grocery store chains in the UK. I ... I understood that reference!

@gkemp You Sir, are winning at The Internet today! 👍

@gkemp @woodpunk I mean, if it was the US, they'd probably be owned by the same 6 their cards would work universally.

albertsonscompanies.com/about-

16 grocery store brands owned by Albertsons.

kroger.com/i/kroger-family-of-

19 owned by Kroger. And they attempted to buy Albertsons last year. That deal is still pending (from what I can find).

SpaceHistory, etc

@Shadowfalx @gkemp @woodpunk So, can I be the guy who says #actually here? I tried to use my Giant card at a Stop & Shop. It didn’t work and the man who worked the checkout said it didn’t matter that they were owned by the same company. So at least when it comes to Royal Ahold, you’re not correct.

@rlpaulprodn @gkemp @woodpunk that's strange. I use my Safeway card at Albertsons all the time, so I just figured they all worked the same.

Thanks for the correction.

@Shadowfalx @gkemp @woodpunk
I have cards for Vons (owned by Albertsons) and Ralph's (owned by Kroger).
