and like, why even have the option for leaving the package at the door in the app if your courriers aren’t instructed to actually follow it? if I knew which deliveries will require attention in advance I’d at least schedule them to a convenient time, but currently it’s just random chance of being woken up in the middle of my sleep (and probably not being able to fall asleep again)

oh and it’s even more fun in Japan because there’s also sometimes Buddhist sect members going door to door, so at any given time my doorbell rings I cant be sure whether it’s one of my packages arriving or I’m about to have the worst social interaction of my week
and yes, this already has happened to me twice this month, from two different sects, I really hope that’s just very bad luck and not a representative thing…
