@ErikUden - Centralized of control may be one adverse consequence of DRM, maybe even th main one - but far from being the only one. Accessibility is also hampered. For example, Kindle does not have the scrolling feature that MoonReader has that allows me to read books that otherwise I would not be able to & DRM prevents me from reading ebooks bought on Amazon on MoonReader. And Iād be surprised if alternative ebook stores (with similar book selection) are any better.

For me it's still a lot of "this or nothing" given the lack of space, so I'm regretfully still accepting the mess that are eBooks but it does feel like a problem that's never going to go away.
