Just wanted to show off some neat Fedi embed code I made last year called Fediverse-Share :fediverse:, it's a little piece of code anyone can put on their static webpages to let that webpage (article, blog post, landing page) be shared with the Fediverse! Any person pressing it can enter their instance of choice, supported software is noted in the repo.

Test it out here!

@ErikUden it'll be nice if it can detect your instance somehow.

@maikelfrias aw man, it'd be cool if maybe some browser plugin could tell every website what Fediverse instance you're on. Like maybe this could be Integrated into browsers somehow.

Then a remote follow could be instantly authorized and executed, snippets like my code above could instantly detect what instance you're from and ship you right to it!

Good idea. So much opportunity for the Fedi :fediverseShiny:

@ErikUden yeah that came to my mind while thinking about how you could implement it, if you solved that you solved clicking like, reply, boost on EVERY remote instance.

If anyone wants to develop such extension please don't forget Firefox. You know, the guys who don't ever think about DRM-ing the shit out of you to push their ad-based business.

@maikelfrias that would truly unite the Fediverse. Doesn't even sound too hard to do...
