after observing all this I was pretty sure that I'm not getting any data from it back ever.
I went around to some local repair shops, but none of them had spare parts for a global model (I'm in Japan rn), so they all declined repair
today, I went to a person that had a hot air gun to try and take it apart to just see what the heck happened inside. after about half an hour of trying to pry it open with 0 success (fucking hell the adhesive there is strong) we decided to give up on that

before leaving I wanted to at least check if the phone draws power at all. I tried plugging it in at home for hours with no effect, so my theory was that it doesn't draw any power on USB at all
you can imagine our surprise when we plugged the phone in and it just... turned on??? like, it booted and started charging as if nothing happened wtf
i even managed to get all the important data from it backed up, and now it works as it did before?? i can even fold/unfold it with no issues
