@AbandonedAmerica It looks like a young American or Fowler's toad to me. Or another Anaxyrus species, depending on where you are. Cricket frogs don't have those big glands behind the head and have a more streamlined shape and pointed snout. Gray treefrogs don't have the glands either.

@cavedueller ok but do toads climb front doors and change colors like the gray tree frog? It is possible I saw another species in nearly the same spot yesterday but if not it those are definitely traits

@AbandonedAmerica I think you have multiple new amphibian friends! At least, I've never heard of toads climbing a smooth surface like a door, and they sometimes look darker when they're cold but it's not much of a color change.
