I've been incredibly fortunate to be able to participate in a three day sailing training last week. And I learned so much, not only sailing practice and theory, but also about basic meterology and oceanography, reading and analysing weather forecasts, anchoring, provisioning for passages and more. It was amazing!

The vessel we sailed on is the SV Solstice, a 31 foot full-keeled cutter rig that was hand built within a 10 year time span from a bare hull. She's gorgeous looking and fantastic to sail!

@rostiger multi-day sailing is a totally different thing, I'm happy you got to experience it!

@neauoire Oh yeah, also anchoring is entirely different than attaching to a buoy - especially with 40 knots of wind at night. And a manual anchor winch to pull up 270 feet of rope and chain in the morning!
