@gwit I don't know much about these cars outside of San Francisco, but it sounds like they may not be legal yet in Australia. A bill is in the works though and it sounds pretty comprehensive https://bnlaw.com.au/knowledge-hub/insights/automated-safety-law-2026/
It sounds like Australia is handling this with a lot more caution and long term planning. In SF it seems like they are figuring out the law on the fly, with little research to back up decisions.
