@docpop if cities are serious about improving public transport availability and/or reducing the overall number of cars on the road then they should be subsidising parking bays for companies like these (car share services included).

@ferg @docpop haha... they should be subsidize reliable and frequent mass transit like busses and trams.
yes there are niche use cases for these self driving cars, but just plain subsidization of parking lots for them without any limits on how many those companies are allowed to operate only causes more waste of space.

maybe limiting the number of SDVs and setting up a bidding system for those limited spots (wining one spot includes a parking lot) might solve the problem.
