I was delighted to be invited back onto the Geomob podcast for the OpenStreetMap 19th Birthday episode 🎂

Ed and I shared some memories from the early days of OpenStreetMap and I'm always interested in hearing other anecdotes - what are your favourites? How did you get started, and who got you interested?

And as I said in the episode, some of my memories might be hazy on those days 🍻 , so if you were there and fancy jogging my memory, please do! 😂

@gravitystorm many many moons ago when I was still at university I went out for a late evening bike ride and got a bit lost in the dark. I remember going along a road under a railway bridge and seeing a railway station sign but no obvious entrance. I got home and the next day started wondering if there was some way to record where I had been. At which time I discovered GPS trackers and OpenStreetMap when the map is mostly blank.
