@bartgo I have no idea, I think some people benefit from using a personal wiki, while some others can't get into the habit in the first place.

Being disorganized is probably the natural state of things. Keeping my notes some place keeps me from oscillating too wildly and being unable to explore the ideas that interest me.

I remember when I first read about journaling from Marc Aurele, and it clicked in my head, he described exactly the sort of help I needed and how to get it.

@neauoire Thanks! When I started my first serious job I used to maintain an outline in plain text (the software was Treepad, later Keynote NG) and dump there all loose ends, ideas, code snippets, whole articles etc. It was merely technical but indeed gave me a "healthy feeling" / "peace of mind" and an advantage over my colleagues, me having an "external brain". But doing it wider, systematically, publicly, requires a rare discipline people usually miss. I think I'll reread Ben Franklin...
