@irina @gnate @dramypsyd 1 is not prime! 🙃
btw. 2027 and 2029 are Twin Primes too 🙂

Irina

@Mazzo @gnate @dramypsyd Goodness, no, it isn't. I think 2 confused me 🙂

gnate

@irina @Mazzo @dramypsyd They don't call it terrible for nothing!

Peter Wood

@Mazzo @irina @gnate @dramypsyd 1 could be prime but then you’d have to add a clause for pretty much every prime number theorem.

Mazzo

@pete @irina @gnate @dramypsyd
thats why it is not prime(these days); poor 1, even heard its not even a number 😂 #math /j

Irina

@Mazzo @pete @gnate @dramypsyd I saw a video explaining why 1 isn't prime. Usually I hate video explainers but this one was excellent! (from the Numberphile, I think)

Mazzo

@irina @pete @gnate @dramypsyd indeed it was Dr. James Grime and Brady i have to thank for my understanding of primes 🥰
was it this video?

@irina @gnate @dramypsyd Dang, didn't see your reply before we chimed in! :blobBongo:

Scott Frazer

@irina @gnate @dramypsyd those are minor primes. Please have a seat over there 😂

AutumnMeowMeow

@dramypsyd@ohai.social You're not wrong:

23 - first tattoo
29 - entered M.S. program
31 - graduated M.S.
37 - lived in Tudor-style house built in '35 with slate roof
41 - moved (sad), but started so far my favorite job ever (happy)
43 - began transitioning (nyaa)
47 - still coming up... maybe first hot girl summer?

Konfusius

@dramypsyd thanks! Now i know what the next birtday party will be themed

GinevraCat

@dramypsyd Yup. Began referring to my 40s as my prime decade some time ago 😂

@dramypsyd And 113:

@dramypsyd
Haw hen I'm 71 and, to be honest, I am no exactly feeling the prime ken?

Ineedahaircut

@dramypsyd what should I do while I wait for the next good year to come around?

gerritbeine

@dramypsyd @catrinity
So, I‘ll be in the prime of my life for a number of times…

TechyDad

@dramypsyd I just turned 48 on Thursday. Looks like I've left my prime.

katzenberger

@dramypsyd Wait, that's also ages when I'm clearly odd?

Woodswalked

@dramypsyd
I know we don’t get to define other people… but Dr. Amy is a dad!

Ype Kingma

@dramypsyd
And the oddest age is 63, at least in binary notation.

Janne Pasanen

@dramypsyd If I ever reach 109 it's gonna be the new 82.

Amanda D

@dramypsyd sorry, but what about 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, and 21?

Anyway, when I was
21 I started graduation,
29 my egg cracked at least 5 years before, and
I had graduated 3 years before,
37 I started transition by DIY, and also
I started a second graduation 3 years before,
41 I started transition under medical supervision, and finally
43 I will have my second graduation.

Yes. A lot happen when we are at our primes years.

@dramypsyd @thomasfuchs I can tell you for a fact, the only thing prime about 47 is the number. LOL

girlfreddy

@dramypsyd

Just got bumped because of a birthday. 6 yrs till my next prime.

Simon | Síomón

@dramypsyd outstanding - I still have 6 primes to look forward to

Inken Paper

@dramypsyd welp. 43 was not it. guess i have to wait till 47.

Bryan Wright

@dramypsyd
Ages when you're perfect:

6, 28, 496, 8128, 33550336,...

I know the 6 and 28 are true from experience. Waiting to test the others.

Adrian :v_bi: :v_trans:

@dramypsyd This made me giggle. 23 was actually pretty good age for me tho, that’s when I got my top surgery and my legal gender changed. 👍

Carnivius

@dramypsyd Dammit, so I'm in my Prime now at 43 but I turn 44 on Saturday so I won't be in my prime anymore. Until I reach 47 in a few years and then I'll be Prime again? :O

IamSheila

@dramypsyd I have to wait 8 - 8???? - years before I reach my prime again? Seriously? That's terrifying! AND so wrong! At no other age does one have that long a wait. The rest of this year better start getting more prime NOW !

Emanuel Kluge

@dramypsyd The forties and the seventies are good. The nineties are a plain disappointment. Becoming three-digits is when the fun starts. 🤗

pharmacistjudge

@dramypsyd You gotta go after the things you want while you're still in your prime…

howiecohen

@dramypsyd it's ironic from the comments that this toot seems so divisive.

Penguin

@dramypsyd @siracusa I’m almost one of those (old) ages, and the prime joke, though funny, is no joke to me 🙁

Ryan the hepcat

@dramypsyd ohh, I'll soon be coming into my prime again.

CallMeABaus

@dramypsyd so what you're telling me is that my early 30s are going to be no bueno? :(

Stu Duerson, machina exo deus

@dramypsyd

I don't get it.
The older I get, the less prime I am.
Yet, the older I get, the more I am marbled.

lira :heart_trans:

@dramypsyd Oh no, I won't be in my prime for 5 years!

Macstodon

@dramypsyd this is the content I came here for 🧮

Randomstickman :krita:

@dramypsyd I've just passed my prime :( but my prime is coming right up! :D

Sven

@dramypsyd

Birthdays should only be celebrated on #Prime number years.

Maarten Pelgrim

@dramypsyd I'm turning 41 in a couple of months, yay:)!!

DELETED

@dramypsyd If you're into prime numbers, check out the poster I made a week or so ago utilizing the wheel factorization process. (poster at the bottom)

βɛth

@dramypsyd I'm 41, so this is excellent news. LOL. I knew there was a reason I've been so awesome this year.

Teri Yaki

@dramypsyd i had to bookmark it, this is too good!

sora :babat_rock:

@dramypsyd I'll come back here in 2025/2026 and report my findings 🫡

zwangseinweisung

@dramypsyd i'm getting 47 in 3 weeks. I hope it's getting better then. Right now, i'm flat like a tire and i'm tired.

Sem tempo, irmão

@dramypsyd but if you are in your prime, you may not be able to get to the ROOT of your problems.

Strange Culprits

@dramypsyd Wait, what about 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, an 19?

skottk

@dramypsyd not to mention the years from 27-64, usually known as cuberty.

Nadine Gonzales

@dramypsyd Well I'm only 34 years old, so I guess this means that I'm not in my prime just yet.

juanejot

@dramypsyd Ages when you're in your subprime: Any time your credit score is lower than 600, which could be any, all, and more than those ages, for most people in this economy.

DELETED

@dramypsyd better make the most of the two coming weeks still being a prime age. But then again 42 is the perfect number 😁

AskPippa🇨🇦

@dramypsyd I can't believe I missed those prime years! :bd06:

Edina

@dramypsyd YES!!! In 1 hour and 47 mins I’m Primo :)

Thomas Lumley

@dramypsyd at 57 you just *think* you're in your prime

Tony Finch

@dramypsyd @antinomy that reminds me, this year i will be a square (again, still) so i can mix up the birthday badge joke

@reiver ⊼ (Charles) :batman:

@dramypsyd

I'm in my prime right now this year 🙂

And will be again in 6 years.

nellie-m

@dramypsyd

hey, great! I'll be in my prime later this year then 🙂

Caleb Warren

@dramypsyd for some reason, this made me check my phone for my age instead of just thinking about it

ArchaeoIain

@dramypsyd my wife and I got together when we were both in our prime.

poldemo

@dramypsyd math, stats or what is the magic behind? (6-4-2 & the early 90s the real tough ones?)

copsewood

@dramypsyd Sure. I was also very much in my prime at 2,3,5,7,11,13, 17 & 19. Alas my Dad would have got to 101 in 2021 had he made it to the next on your list, but I think he left at just the right time for a proper send off, given he'd have lost his visitors had he been around when the pandemic started.

Huzaif

@dramypsyd average of these is the average age group on mastodon
