My Dad worked with someone, or had an old colleague who worked at General Magic, sonething like that, and he ended up with one or two Magic Links. I think they were gifts or they wanted his feedback on them? I don't think he ever daily drove them, and I remember playing with them around the house as a kid. The MagicCap OS was so playfully designed and I can't remember if it had any games but it was fun to just poke around and 'play office'. Ended up in this 🐇🕳️ cause I was looking at Magic Earth (which is a proprietary OSM client for phones) and it states on its website that it is continuing the mission of General Magic (the company that made Magic Cap) @liaizon wow magic cap looks interesting something different that would be nice as a theme for modern operating systems How is magic earth? organic maps and osm are both not great and magic earth does have the advantage of offline maps @liaizon it looks like its on the google play store but its sad its not on the app store. It looks like the one app that advertises carplay support and might work. All the other apps have issues with carplay and apple maps is the best map app as far as carplay support goes but it makes sense since its an apple app |
I didnt know anything about Magic Cap OS
