@thomasfuchs It realized it was named "Serial B" and tried to turn itself into a USB B port. Obviously that did not succeed

@thomasfuchs that's why there are speed limits!

Why can’t I get this monitor to plug in!?!

@thomasfuchs And yet the D-sub would still fit in there and that port would be 100% operatonal.

I so much as *look* at the usb-c port on my phone and it stops mating properly after 8 months.

The answer I am obviously suggesting is there should be a new USB-T port type for mobile devices which is a big 9 or 15 pin DSUB.. or maybe an old school MIL-DTL-38999 connector.

@thomasfuchs did someone try and plug in a Dreamcast controller? 🤣

@thomasfuchs they put these on the back, what do they expect would happen. 😀

@thomasfuchs looks like it’s seen everything but a serial cable lol

@thomasfuchs I think we got ourselves a serial killer 😔

@thomasfuchs If you lean in close, it's trying to tell us something.

@thomasfuchs Rofl, if I'm to be honest that's the kind of thing I might have done some years ago if I encountered a device that didn't *quite* fit right or something. I might even have bent the pins just a bit to make them extra tight.

Don't hate me.

Ok, go ahead and hate me.

@thomasfuchs
Back in the days when computers had serial, parallel and midi ports that doubled as joystick ports ?
