In the summer, I used to only ever bake when it was overcast (LPG oven), cause temp is generally cooler and I didn't want to steam up the boat, but now I bake when there is sun because of the solar cooker. Interesting shift.

Cooked some kidney beans in it yesterday, it was rainy in the morning, but it cleared up around 15h. I could have used the pressure cooker, but honestly, now I just prefer to save on fuel and to wait for the sun (esp for food that takes a while to cook).

Visible under the solar cooker, some red kidney bean juice I forgot to clean from yesterday's cooking.

@monoxane oh its amusing to me too :P... esp when comes time to 'flop' it out of the tray cause I don't have a long enough dish, or cutting board, to accomodate its length XD... it always ends up breaking in thirds.

@rek
Do you even need much sun? I thought yours and Devine's experiments showed the ability to cook with little sun if you were willing to wait 2+ hours to cook?

@ddlyh If I can see the sun I can cook, even if i can see it through clouds, all it means is that it'll take longer to draw in the heat, yea.
