Gregory's Server@Paperposts @LauraKerrArt not sure if it was already mentioned in this thread so sorry if its already known. hashtags dont "pull in" posts from remote servers. Only @ groups, relays and users do. So if no one on your server is following me for instance, you will not see any posts I make even if they are hashtaged one the tags you follow. This is a major issue with the way Mastodon works and one that there are many people thinking about but its quite unsolved yet.

 @LauraKerrArt @Paperposts have you tried posting to Lemmy communities from Mastodon yet? it actually helps solve this a bit. @LauraKerrArt @Paperposts Lemmy is another part of the fediverse, and the way that content travels is a bit different there. So you can make a normal post on your account here and then if you mention a @community@lemmy.instance.domain then it posts your post from here over there and then all responses from there get brought back to you here if you follow the whole community here. |
