@timbray Agree the Fediverse investment proposition hasn't been articulated. I'm confident it will be 🙂

Analogy: back in the 80's networks were proprietary. Then we got Ethernet as an open standard & arguably much more value was created (for investors & users) through the open network because anybody could connect & innovate, which they couldn't before.

But the basis of competition--networks vs adapters--changed dramatically. Same will happen here IMHO. Away from ads to captured audiences.
