The pandemic is not over until every person has access to treatments for Long Covid and higher risk people are not locked out of society.

Higher risk people not locked out of society = continuing layers of prevention everywhere including better vaccines, free n95 masks, clean air infrastructure and more.

@luckytran attitudes to public health can change. Albeit slowly

Yeah....i am not that pessimistic about change actually coming to pass....just that it likely won't be in my lifetime.

@luckytran
As a member of several high risk groups (old, obese, disabled) who is currently admitted to a hospital where about half the employees don’t wear masks, I agree completely. It’s probable that the only reason I’ve never had COVID is that this is maybe the 5th time I’ve been out of my house since the pandemic began, and all of those trips were doctor or dentist visits with everyone (who could be) masked.

@luckytran We've been begging our governments about this for awhile. They ignore us.
I'm fighting local antimasking police for violating our human right to protect ourselves in our own home during botched 911 dispatch for my Dad's long covid related cardiac arrest medical emergency. Police who shouldn't have been here, refused to leave & wear masks after being told we're a multi disabled & immunocompromised household.
My Dad got covid in hospital in 2022.
He died same night cops invaded.

@luckytran Than it will never be over and every infectious disease is still a pandemic.
