@Rhodium103 the amount of people I've known who live in "normally" hot places like Texas or Florida yet *can't* handle hot weather and have to do *everything* indoors with AC + sitting down or they're 2.5 seconds away from dying...this is ridiculous advice. s'not like most ppl can move to a better climate cuz there's no housing and the heat death is coming for us all regardless.

@bluejorts @Rhodium103 Since I moved from upstate New York to Southern California, in the last two decades my body has become more tolerant of heat and less tolerant of cold. It is normally a dry heat in SoCal, which makes it easier to bear. The 95 F/35 C we have today is hot enough to not do anything strenuous but walking slowly is tolerable for me.

The cliche โ€œItโ€™s a dry heatโ€ comes to mind. I grew up in upstate NY. Iโ€™ve lived in hot, humid Florida for 23 years. I will never get used to it.
