I'm a trans software engineer. My doctor recommended estradiol patches over pills. I'm literally patching my gender.

@LilahTovMoon Initial releases are often buggy. It may take several rounds of patches but it will end up in a state you're happy with :)

@LilahTovMoon Don't worry. I can tell you that if you're anything like me, you will sometimes get urgent zero day patch requests from your body (as in when you forget to swap them over and your body starts to struggle to control its temperature) ;)

@LilahTovMoon patching works for some people, but I've heard gender can be more vulnerable to the injection attack.

@LilahTovMoon Don't forget to share your patch notes!

@LilahTovMoon my partner uses patches as well, and we used to write version numbers on them for a bit :3 Also doodles; they're great!

@LilahTovMoon As an enterprise programmer, I am using dependency injection for my gender. Improved testability and all.

@LilahTovMoon Yup I'm more about dependency injection to alter my firmware, but patches were pretty flexible early on and resource stability was top notch.
