I heard about this! (and then subsequently asked my drunk finnish friends about it @thisismissem It's apparently catching on in New Jersey too, which is very much horse country (a county bike trail ran through our previous neighborhood and occasionally there were horses on it. I think they got disbarred in recent years for not cleaning up after themselves though. Rude). I like getting into internet fites I got into a couple this wk. also configged thunderbird to pull a bunch of RSS feeds (hashtags, etc)  @thisismissem Back in January someone I follow on the fediverse pretty actively kinda vanished, at the level I actually contacted them to check on them out of band because I was worried. Yesterday, they came back! @ocdtrekkie yay to reconnecting with people! I wrote all that up with examples thinking no one else would probably ever see it, but if they need to it might be nice to have somewhere. @vmstan I consider the discord & the Github project and the matrix chats all part of the fediverse from a contributors / moderators / admins perspective So my good #Fediverse thing for this week was having a kinda crazy idea and being like "what if...?" and then @trwnh and @steve (i think that's him) helping me investigate & explore this idea's viability, and it turns out it's not entirely crazy and it may actually be a very good idea. That was nice, I learned a lot. Also nice was getting feedback from the @Mastodon team on some work that had been in flight for a while. @thisismissem anything related to #BloomScrolling I love the fact that I can subscribe to a hashtag and have a constant flow of beauty in my feed. I know next to nothing about flowers, but there's something rejuvenating about them. @SamUpstate mmm! Yes! I've similar hashtag following on tumblr! (On Mastodon it looks a bit text heavy for me in Ivory) |
@thisismissem@hachyderm.io I get to play a small part in connecting people from all walks of life and that genuinely makes me so happy I cried talking about it to my partner a few nights ago
