Gregory's ServerShould I buy it? Aside from the RAM and SSD (which I can easily upgrade), it seems like a pretty good deal to me, especially in this condition

 @astrr I have ThinkPad E14 Gen 3 (AMD). Basic model with four-core AMD Ryzen, but still excellent keyboard, much better than on Macbook Pro that gave me my employer. Stickpoint is also great, used to it with my desktop keyboard. Took it with 8 gigs of RAM, but immediately extended it with 16 gigs module. With Linux performance is enough for all my tasks: heavy IDE, browsing, messaging. @savely that's... not very relevant because this is an Intel X280, but thanks for the info! @astrr sure, just meant that for me Thinkpad is more about comfort and no matter what model you get, the experience is very similar. |
@astrr if you don't need gaming (weak videocard), web browsing (weak videocard) or windows (battery hog)
