@DanielaAbade @editor I'm not sure social media of any kind can help with what real-world agents like presidents and militia can do in retaliation, if they know who you are. You don't have to reveal your real name on Mastodon... Still, if one's personal safety is on the line, one can never be too careful. I think all that Mastodon can offer as a platform is moderators who block trolls/robots from sending spam/abuse.
@Gargron @editor fair moderation is what I'm searching for. Trolls and robots in Twitter are out of control. I need to use an extension to block Brazilian altright/nazi followers* of some known government militia accounts to be mildly safe. This tweet about my friend is still on, no matter how many people report it. Moderation of dangerous/fake content no matter who is posting is my concern.
*Brazilian-nazi is a mind blowing concept, I know :)
