The #log4j exploit is just wild. I do not understand why that behavior needed to be a thing.

@Gargron I bet some super smart person with access to the sources needed to do something and they decided to do it the way way.
@Gargron generally, developers design things to work - not to be secure. See this a lot across the board. The internet itself wasn’t designed to be secure.
