If Nemo's mom was dead his dad should have been female and his new mom by the end of the movie!

The female is always the oldest and biggest clownfish, the male is the next largest and the rest are just... waiting their turn.

I guess, Nemo probably should have worked on finding his own anemone to live in too... otherwise things could get weird even for my tastes.
