"Good evening Mr. Gates, @256 It's not untrue. The majority of web servers have been Linux-based (and Unix-based) for a long time. Microsoft also hosts a lot of Linux machines now on Azure. @CatsSimsBooks @256 That would make sense, it was an acquisition so it probably took a while to migrate, and why would a startup in the 90s would spend their money on Windoze licenses? @256 That picture was clearly drawn by someone who has been to the Microsoft campus in Redmond or seen actual pictures of it, but I can’t match the layout with any of the buildings I expect. I’m tentatively claiming that’s not an actual building, but if anyone knows otherwise please share the building number. (FYI, I’ve ruled out 16/17/18, 26/27, and 42/43 based on shape.) @arthurwyatt @256 I don’t think it’s Red West. Major “main campus” feel for me. Hey @larryosterman do you have an opinion? The building should be Windows, but it’s giving me Office vibes, especially that glass entrance in the middle and the lights and the raised entrance. @256 @tchambers I approve of your choice of spirit animal, though Apple’s many OS’s are fine for me 🙂 |
@256 I had this poster on my wall when I was a kid!
Times sure have changed…
