@frumble @mimsical Which is generally looked at as a pro in my mind. Mastodon and AP in general lacks greatly in the discovery aspect. Unfortunately for good interoperability in any good platform, there has to be some inherent centralization somewhere. If you look at DNS, the address-book of the internet, you're free to choose where to host your domain and nameservers wherever you choose. @bonz @mimsical Yes, but the whole architecture is very centralist designed. You are just moving your data storage (PDS) around.
