Earlier this year we fermented some purple top turnips with some red beets in brine. It is very, very delicious.
We only have 2X1 L jars, wish we'd made more.

@rek either y'all have been adding a lot more info here, or I just didn't remember how extensive this info is. This is a great resource. Thanks for sharing the link. I think I might try some red onion this fall.

@rek Is that the same pickle that is often used in falafal wrap and middle eastern salads? It looks very similar.
